John was only 50 years old when he was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson’s disease. He tried medications to reduce his tremors, but those did little to help. John’s doctor referred him to Punit Agrawal, DO, a neurologist and movement disorder specialist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s Center for Neuromodulation.
Dr. Agrawal evaluated John and recommended he undergo deep brain stimulation, a surgical procedure that treats neurological symptoms like tremor, rigidity and stiffness.
Since having the deep brain stimulation procedure done, John is back to the things he loved: golfing, traveling with his wife and cheering on the Buckeyes at football games.
