This video shows you how to hide boot text for your raspberry pi so that when it boots it will only show a black screen rather than the miles of text (as long as you don't mind not knowing what is broken if it doesn't boot)
HOW TO HIDE BOOT TEXT:
sudo nano /boot/cmdline.txt
change console=tty1 to console=tty3
add these at the end of the line: loglevel=3 quiet logo.nologo
(make sure it is all on the same line otherwise it will break your boot sequence and you'll have to reimage your sd card.)
