The Honda City hatchback is currently only sold in Thailand. The new addition to the City lineup is the 2022 Honda City hatchback that was built to take on one of Honda’s competitors, Toyota. This hatchback is up against both the Toyota Yaris and the Toyota Vios.

This 2022 model is also rumored to be the replacement of the Honda Jazz in Malaysia. With many in the East pitting it up against the Honda City Sedan, the Honda hatchback seems to come out victorious. It is the most ideal car if you are looking for a family car that can be used as a daily driver all through the year without breaking a sweat.

Under the hood of the 2022 Honda City hatchback sits a 1.0-liter DOHC VTEC turbo engine with three cylinders.

This engine pushes 122 horsepower at 5,500 RPM and delivers 173 Nm of torque at 2,000 RPM to 4,500RPM to the car’s front-wheel-drive drivetrain. Honda paired the 2022 hatchback’s engine with a CVT transmission.

The 2022 Honda City hatchback measures 171 inches in length, 68 inches in width, and 58 inches in height. According to these measurements, this hatchback is smaller than most hatchbacks on the market today. This means that the cabin space is really cramped up.

Nonetheless, the 2022 Honda City hatchback can fit five adults making it an ideal family car. However, for taller and plus-size adults space can be problematic. Other external features of this ride include 15-inch alloy wheels, LED projector headlamps, rear LED tail lamps, foldable and adjustable side mirrors that come fitted with turn signals, a shark fin antenna, and daytime running lights.

For the interior, Honda has fitted the 2022 Honda City hatchback with an 8-inch touchscreen on the dashboard, a power outlet, USB ports, a small storage unit, and ultra-seats that allow for four-seat arrangement styles. These styles include utility mode where the two back seats are folded and long mode where the front passenger seat and the right-back seat are folded.
