My Calamansi Tree is full of fruits you guys!!! 💛💛💛
If you’ve been my friend for a while, you might remember my post about taking this baby home almost 8 months ago.
Calamansi is a cross between mandarin oranges and kumquats. This citrus fruit is widely used in the Philippines as well as around Southeast Asia, most notably in food and beverages. I grew up with these fruits - they were our main citrus in the Philippines. In Asia, the fruits are usually harvested while green, but I wanted to let them ripen a bit. Besides their wonderful tangy flavor, they also have a ton of health benefits (perhaps I’ll share in a diff reel).
We’ve been enjoying them in our tea. 🍵 I’m about to pick the rest of the fruits and I’m thinking of using them to make some fresh juice and maybe for something else.
She’s been moved inside the house for this season, and I take her out once in a while when the weather’s nice to give her some fresh air and a good wash. 💦
I love all of my citrus trees but if I could only grow one, I would pick this one. So easy to take care of and it just enjoys producing so many fruits for you.
