I actually had no idea this happened to ElecMan in the show, and it's only more heartbreaking considering what happened to Kirby Morrow, his voice actor. I knew the actor's work mostly from LEGO Ninjago for a long time, and I found out he voiced ElecMan when I started watching the show recently.

So, as a sort of tribute to Kirby Morrow, I wanted to change the music for this scene to "Running Through the Cyber World" from the games. (Specifically the remix of it from the Rockman.EXE 25th Arrange Best Traks album.) I'll link to it here:

It's only fitting that the Battle Network series' signature hero theme played for ElecMan's ultimate sacrifice. In the words of Lan, "Thanks to ElecMan, all our friends are saved. He was... a hero".

(Well, I say that, but I found out he shows up again a couple episodes later, so I’ve got no idea if he actually died or if it’s a continuity error. 😅)
