We are called Christians because we partake of the Life and Spirit of Christ. The correct way to view sin now that Christ has saved us is not to believe that sin is a part of your nature. We don't have a sin nature. Nature is what God's creates. Sin corrupted what was original to us in creation. Jesus came to save or heal us to restore us to what God intended. We have been made new and are now partakers of the divine nature having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Christian's should not claim to believe the gospel yet accept the contradiction that they have a sin nature. This is false humility. Only when we acknowledge the Truth and walk in the Holy Spirit will we not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. The Life of God in us will produce the holy fruit of the Spirit.
