My NYJO debut back in 1987 at the Festival Theatre in my home town of Paignton, Devon. Recorded by a friend in the audience on a walkman cassette player! Another local lad Simon Carter who was also just 16 sight read the whole piano pad as the regular NYJO pianist was suddenly caught ill. Gerard Presencer (trumpet) was just 15 at time of recording. Chris Dagley (drums) was just 16. A particularly young NYJO line up!
