In an effort to portray the light-up capabilities of their newest sneakers, LA Gear presents a basketball game that's played in nearly complete darkness. Unfortunately, due to the distracting nature of the shoes, accompanying newspaper headlines reveal that the NBA has elected to permanently ban the footwear. Had the sneakers been approved for league play, we're led to believe that future Hall of Famers, Karl Malone and Hakeem Olajuwon would have opted to wear them. Since the average potential customer isn't an NBA superstar, Foot Locker presents two different designs of the shoe that are available at their establishment.
