Munthiri Kothu is a unique festival sweet from Kanyakumari District for Christmas. Xmas (Christmas) sweet with green dal (green moong dal & jaggery) simple to make. Tasty Munthiri kothu. During Christmas days there are lots of baking (cakes and cookies) if you are not a baking person you can try some sweets like Rose cookies or this Munthiri kothu. For Stuffing
Green gram dal - 1/2 cup
Coconut - 1/2 cup
Jaggery - 1/3 cup
Cardamom - 1/4 teaspoon
Salt a pinch
For Batter:
Rice flour - 1 /3 cup
Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Salt to taste
For Munthiri kothu
Oil for deep frying
