For all of my ranching friends who splice a lot of fences, the hammer trick is way faster than fence stretchers and a much more mobile way to fix fence. I'm sure some of you know how to do this already so I hope it can help someone!
The hole in the hammer is for running the wire through which saves time, is easy, and helps conserve a little wire. This trick will work with any old claw hammer as long as it has a bell on the end of it, giving the wire a place to seat while twisting. Good luck!
(Excuse how grungy I am in the video, I had been building steel braces before that, we need to have Mike Rowe come work with us apparently)
