With a few hours before my scheduled visit to Tulleys Farm Shocktober (video already online!), I decided to visit the Bluebell Railway.Running between Sheffield Park and East Grinsted, this 11 mile steam railway takes in some stunning scenery as it meanders its way through the East & West Sussex Countryside. Arriving at Sheffield Park an hour before my train was due to depart, I took the opportunity to take a look around the station and the new SteamWorks exhibition, detailing the day to day life and operation of a steam locomotive, as well as housing the railways' 'static' locomotive collection. Before I knew it my train was steaming into the station, hauled by Southern Railway S15 No. 847. Shortly after arrival, the S15 runs round it's train, and with me on board we depart through the countryside, to Horsted Keynes, Kingscote and our final destination, East Grinstead, where Part 1 of my visit to the Bluebell Railway comes to a conclusion.
