Sydney's finest, Lime Cordiale recently brought their slick and laid-back funk to the Live at Enmore studio. The whole crew squeezed in, but they kept it stripped-back for a smooth performance of their recent single, Money.
The intricate percussion sat on top of a groove-box loop, just the right setting for this cruisy track, that's rich with vocal harmony, spacey guitar tones and an irresistible bass hook.
The heavy bass and relaxed delivery of Louis Leimbach sat atop a dual-guitar bed, tight percussion, with a trombone thrown in for good measure.
Before the band hit the studio, Oli Leimbach reflected on the song's deeper meaning:
"Our song Money tends to be not necessarily about money, but everything that surrounds money. The pressures that come from it, the personalities that come out of it."
