The red-hot bricks at 1200 degrees Celsius can be easily held with bare hands. This is the material used in space shuttles: LI-900. LI-900 is made from pure silica glass fibers with a purity of 99.9%, with 94% of its volume being air, and it has extremely good thermal insulation properties. When designed in the form of heat-resistant bricks, they are applied to the body of the space shuttle to protect the aluminum shell from the heat when re-entering the atmosphere. One shuttle may require up to 31,000 of these bricks, and each brick is individually manufactured for specific positions with completely unique shapes and thicknesses. The thermal insulation bricks are very fragile, so even a little force can break them, and they must be remade as there are no spare bricks.
