Global trade disruptions: What businesses should know about tariffs, trade actions and supply chains
The last four years brought global trade and the importance of the supply chain to the forefront. While many may have been hoping that a change in administration would mean a roll back of many of the trade actions put in place by the last administration, that is unlikely to be the case. The focus of this presentation is to highlight three areas that businesses should be monitoring and preparing to address in the coming months—specifically, potential changes to the Trump China tariffs, the US focus on addressing forced labor in China, and the potential for new and expanding sanctions programs—all of which could have a major impact on supply chains.
