This footage shows the moment a soldier climbs a massive tower and raises the Ukrainian flag high above a recaptured city in the Kharkiv region.
The Ukrainian Air Assault Forces said that the Russians are "frantically abandoning their positions".
The images show the Russian flag that had been flying there replaced with the blue and yellow colours of Ukraine. Other images show the Ukrainian flag being hoisted in other recaptured settlements in the region.
The footage was obtained from the 92nd Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, also known as the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Ivan Sirko, on Monday, 12th September, along with a short statement saying: "Kupyansk is Ukraine."
Kupyansk is a city located in the Kharkiv Oblast region in eastern Ukraine. The first piece of footage and statement was also relayed by the Office of Strategic Communications (StratCom), the Ground Forces, and Operational Command "East" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
And other footage shows the Ukrainian flag being raised in other recaptured settlements in the region. The second piece of footage was obtained from the Command of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces, also on Monday, 12th September, along with a statement saying: "As a result of a successful counteroffensive by units of the Armed Forces and other components of the State's defense forces in the Kharkiv direction, Russian troops are frantically abandoning their positions.
