Hey Everyone! I thought I'd make a video tutorial to show you just how I make these super popular, vinyl poop bags for my Etsy store. [ Ссылка ]
I've literally made 100's of these bags, possibly now into the 1000's. I stock them at several BC, Canada pet stores, I sell in person at craft fairs and artisan markets and online via Facebook, Instagram and Etsy.
To start, you will need an Embroidery machine. I use a Brother SE600 which can be used for embroidery or sewing but I have a few sewing machines so strictly use it for embroidery. I bought it off Amazon from here: [ Ссылка ]
You'll need embroidery thread and stabilizer which I also purchase from Amazon. [ Ссылка ] and [ Ссылка ]
I purchase my embroidery applique dog designs from @offwiththeirthreadsembroid6607 Website [ Ссылка ]
If you want to make a vinyl bag without the appliqué, you definitely can. Just skip to 06:31 to see how I finish my bags on my sewing machine.
I buy my vinyl from Amazon and some local British Columbia fabric stores. Mostly you want to look for a thicker, marine vinyl that will be durable and not crack or break with the applique added. My pro-tip, avoid thin glitter vinyls used commonly for hair bows and scrapbooking.
I use Singer Embroidery scissors for trimming most designs which I purchased from Amazon. [ Ссылка ]
I cut my vinyl into a 5X10" rectangle. These make a nice 4.5X4.5" approx sized bag. As mentioned in the video, Off With Their Threads embroidery designs are available for in the hoop projects and stand alone. I purchase for stand alone as my machine will not support making these bags in the hoop. My 4X4 hoop is too small.
I buy bulk zippers from Amazon as I find them cheapest and I like the various colours available. 7.5" work well. [ Ссылка ]
I also purchase my colourful carabiners from Amazon. [ Ссылка ]
