Prop your canvas up so you can get underneath it and clean it! Then it's easy to let it dry and apply a really good waterproof spray, like 303 Fabric Guard.

The canvas fabric cleaning solution is: Use a 5-gallon bucket 1/2 full of warm water (about 2.5 gallons), mix in 1/2 capful of Woolite laundry detergent and 1/4 cup of bleach. Apply with a rag. You can let it sit a few minutes then come back around with a scrub brush for the really dirty areas. Then rinse well with a hose. Let dry for several hours in the sun. It should be completely dry before water proofing. You must rinse very well in order for the 303 Fabric Guard water proofing spray to soak in an "stick".

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT 303 FABRIC GUARD!! Only use it on the canvas fabric! DO NOT use it on your vinyl parts of your canvas or on your windows. It will stain an discolor them. Wipe away any overspray immediately from any vinyl surface when using the 303 Fabric Guard!

The 32 oz size bottle was just enough for me to coat the 4 fabric window panels on my pop-up (1 coat). I coated the outside surfaces only, and the 303 soaked in nicely.
