The figure and contrast of the seasoned walnut is first enhanced with traditional Red Oil, made from linseed and alkanet root, followed by dozens of coats of a clear finishing-oil.

No time-limit can be set for this work, as every piece of wood has its own characteristics, which must be worked with and nurtured throughout the process.

Only with the application of time, skill and traditional oils, is the full beauty of the wood revealed and the stock finish ready to pass inspection.
