Four people, aged 16 to 21, were arrested on July 29, 2020, by Hong Kong’s new police unit enforcing the national security. Li Kwai-wah, Senior Superintendent for the Hong Kong Police National Security Department, said they were arrested on suspicion of activities related to "subversion" and "secession".
