Bambu Studio is the slicer software that you use to print 3D prints with Bambu Lab printers. First, download Bambu Studio and install. When you click to open up Bambu Studio, it will prompt you through a setup process and also help you connect your 3D Printer wirelessly. Being able to send your print files to your printer wirelessly will be extremely convenient and make printing very easy.
Once Bambu Studio is setup and you’ve connected your printer, you will be sent to the dashboard homepage. In the user dashboard, you can choose to view the marketplace to find items to 3D print, open an existing saved project, or create a new project. If you’re new to 3D printing, it may be easiest to go find an item to print directly from the marketplace.
The Bambu Lab 3D print marketplace is called Maker World. It’s a website full of free items to 3D print. You can start by browsing items to find something to 3D print. Once you’ve chosen an item, click on the Open in Bambi Studio feature. This feature automatically opens up this print into Bambu Studio. This is extremely convenient for beginners learning to do all this.
You can also save the print file as an STL file. All 3D print files need to be in an STL file for Bambu Studio. Once you have saved the file, you can then go into Bambu Studio and click on New Project. Once that project opens, you can click on import file to bring in that STL file.
Once your print is opened up into Bambu Studio, you can go down the list of settings in the left hand tab to customize your print. Start by making sure it has the correct printer chosen. Also make sure to choose the correct plate you have on your printer. Take a good look and make sure your supports are set how you want them. You can also choose to resize your print to desired size.
Once your finished editing your 3D print in Bambu Studio, you can then click on Send to Printer in the top right hand corner. If will have you validate you have the right printer and filament. You can then finalize your settings and print your 3D print on your printer.
