The major scale is the most popular scale used throughout the history of Western Tonal music. The major scale establishes "Tonality", and contains all the information needed to learn and use Harmony, Intervals, Chords and to create other scales. This helps with things like Song Writing, Improvisation, Composition and playing by ear.
