New research has revealed the happiest and least happy places to live in Scotland.
Gold payment platform Glint looked into the best and worst places in the UK to purchase a house, and life satisfaction was one of its key metrics.
The organisation used life satisfaction data from the UK Office of National Statistics to measure happiness. It separated its results between Scotland, England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
It found that Orkney topped Scotland for happiness, with a life satisfaction score of 8.2 out of 10. Following in second and third place were Argyll and Bute and the Highlands, both with scores of 7.7 out of 10.
