10 highest individual scores in IPL history


1)Chris Gayle 175* - 2013
Gayle is miles ahead of the pack with high scores and centuries in the T20 format. The left-hander played for RCB against Pune Warriors India when he scored an unbeaten 175 runs off 66 balls, which included 17 sixes. He achieved two records in this match for the highest individual score and most sixes by a player in T20 cricket.

2)Brendon McCullum 158* - 2008
The Kiwi opener set the ground for KKR with a formidable 158 runs off 73 balls against RCB, dotted with 13 sixes and 10 fours. McCullum was the first player to score over 150 runs in the T20 format. He held the record of the highest individual score for more than five decades.

3)AB de Villiers 133* - 2015
RCB’s ‘360 degree batsman’ scored an all-time high with 133 runs off 59 balls, with a strike rate of 225.42, against Mumbai Indians. AB’s magnificent hundred included 19 fours and 4 sixes.

4)KL Rahul 132* - 2020
The Punjab captain scored 132 not out off just 69 balls against RCB. Rahul’s stunning century was studded with 14 fours and 7 sixes. The right-handed batsman is amongst the most highly rated opening batsmen of the new generation.

5)AB de Villiers 129* - 2016
The talented cricketer remained unbeaten on 129 to help RCB to 248/3 against Gujarat Lions. His captain Virat Kohli also got a hundred (109) in that match. AB’s scintillating innings included 10 fours and 12 sixes.

6)Chris Gayle 128* - 2012
The man from Jamaica slammed 13 sixes and 7 fours in his 62-ball 128-run knock against Delhi Daredevils. Gayle helped RCB reach 215/1 in 20 overs. Delhi, in reply, fell short of 21 runs.

7)Rishabh Pant 128* - 2018
The keeper-batsman smashed his maiden IPL hundred and guided Delhi Daredevils to 187/5 against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Pant’s 128 not out off 63 balls included 15 fours and seven sixes.

8)Murali Vijay 127 - 2010
The CSK opener scored 127 runs in just 56 balls against Rajasthan Royals at Chepauk. Murali’s whirlwind innings was studded with 8 fours and 11 sixes.

9)David Warner 126 - 2017
With a strike rate of 213.55, Warner of Sunrisers Hyderabad scored his highest individual score of 126 off just 59 balls. Hitting 10 fours and 8 sixes, the left-handed batsman took on his opponent team KKR with his well-known destructive demeanour.

10)Virender Sehwag 122 - 2014
The opening batsman blasted 122 runs in just 58 balls to help Punjab to 226/6 against Chennai Super Kings. Sehwag’s 122 included 12 fours and 8 huge sixes.
