Hello There!
You will be surprised to see this phenomenon. When a room is submerged in water, someone fills a glass and places it upside down over a pipe. What happens next is very interesting: the water in the glass starts rising by itself, and the water in the room slowly decreases. This is called the Pythagorean siphon mechanism. When the water in the glass reaches the top of the pipe, the siphoning effect kicks in, pulling the water out of the room into the glass as if by the force of gravity. This is the same principle used in washing machines and flush toilets.
