Memories of Murder was released in 2003 and directed by Bong Joon Ho.

And it follows a small town in South Korea where mysterious murders take place but all these killings follow a certain pattern.

All the victims were women who were raped and killed.

To help the local detective Park Doo-man with this case, a city boy called Seo Tae-Yoon comes in and they both have to put their differences aside to work together in order to find who is committing these crimes.

But by the end, the murderer was never found.

This is another movie by Bong Joon Ho that is very cynical.
