iCoachNow Ball Handling - Bounce Front to Back
This is a great demonstration video for first time / rookie coaches or experienced coaches looking for new drill ideas.
The basketball ball handling drill helps with hand eye coordination.
Drill Instructions:
1) Have youth basketball players line up on the baseline.
2) Each basketball player needs a ball do this drill.
3) Each player starts the drill with both feet on the baseline, standing straight legged.
4) With the basketball in front with both hands, in a downward motion, bounce the basketball between the their legs
5) Reach quickly behind catch the ball
6) From behind, bounce the basketball back through the legs and catch in the front
7) Repeat action several times or for a few minutes
For very young basketball players, they can bend their legs and try bouncing the ball to the back then catching it.
