I took these videos back of March 2019 when Gunlock was first overflowing once I heard about it from a friend that lived down there. I got here maybe 3 or 4 days after it started flowing and before the big crowds showed up.
Last time it overflowed previously was in 2011 and it lasted until about June.
Gunlock has since overflow during the spring runoff of 2023 and has now finally stopped as summer is in full-swing down there and most of the snowmelt is gone.
I came across these videos and while yes, the videos are nearly 4 years old, the videos are quite relaxing to hear and soothing to the eyes to witness.
This is more for historical purposes than anything else. I apologize this a 4 year old video, but it’s too good to pass up and not share
