The re-emergence of Clive Palmer as a political force poses a real dilemma for One Nation this election.
The threat is particularly strong in Queensland, where Palmer's United Australia Party and Pauline Hanson's party vie for the same disillusioned voters.
One Nation's campaign has been seriously disrupted by the ongoing fallout from a covert sting by Al Jazeera, forcing the resignation of a candidate and a tearful admission from Pauline Hanson that she's been let down by her own.
Could this election see the decline of One Nation's national influence or will the party defy the odds once again?
Michael Atkin reports.
