I’m often asked if positive visualization Can help with a fear of flying.
I will often say jokingly, “as opposed to negative visualization you mean”?
We are making images all the time, positive, negative and also neutral ones. Even if you are not aware that you're doing it. It will still be affecting how you feel.
In this episode, I talk about how to become aware of those internal images and how to change what you picture in your head when you think of flying.

in today's video I'm gonna talk about
the importance of the mental images you
make and how that affects your fears hi
I'm Christopher Paul Jones the
breakthrough expert in today's video I'm
gonna talk about what images are you
making in your mind in order to be
afraid when you think about a flight for
example when you think about getting on
that plane what are you focusing on are
you imagining yourself glued to the seat
terrified are you imagining a bumpy
flight you imagine people screaming are
you imagine all these disempowering
images that probably don't help you feel
good well what I'd like to do instead is
ask yourself why am I doing this flight
is it so I can enjoy times with loved
ones so I can sit on the beach and watch
a beautiful sunset so I can sip
champagne with the person I love so I
can secure that great business deal
whatever it is for you what I want you
to do is instead of focusing on that
thing that's gonna terrify you make a
big bright vivid image of you enjoying
the location of you enjoying a holiday
and just hold on to that locket in your
subconscious mind now the second stage
of that is also you can take that old
image that you were imagining being
terrified and what you can do is color
it black and white mmm
imagine scrubbing it through with pen
and throwing off into the distance and
then grab that new one and put it bring
it into bright and vivid and imagine it
sitting in that picture sitting in that
event and just hold on to it lock it in
your mind and then from now on whenever
you start to bring in that old image of
you being scared just imagine that new
bright one and just keep practicing that
at home keep bringing in keep practicing
that powerful visualization of you
