The Canon FD 300mm f/4.0 L is a vintage telephoto lens from the year 1978. Even though this piece of glass is so old, the results you can get with it are still spectacular in my opinion. A while ago I bought this great Canon lens on eBay and now I had the opportunity to take a few shots with my Sony PMW-F5 CineAlta at the "'Tierpark Hagenbeck" zoo in Hamburg/Germany. I love to watch the monkeys and Oranutans there - the fine fur and expressive faces were a great 4K-Challenge for this old prime lens. I'm not really a wildlife filmmaker and so I had big problems to follow the nimble monkeys with this Tele-Prime. Please leave a comment - I am very curious about your opinion!
