There's no better route for extended steam ops than the B&LE from G-TraX. To that end, here is the 3985 at the head of a 140-car, 3075 ton train of empty iron ore jennies. Most of the route is on fairly level track, and the adverse grades that are present are fairly mild, with only a few 1% grades that don't last very long, so we are able to roll along at an average speed of about 40 mph with this consist, making the trip between the interchange at North Bessemer and the loading docks at Conneaut in just under 2 and a half hours (including a stop at Grove City to top off the water in the tender). Note the operation of the Elesco TP Exhaust Steam Injector with prototypical sounds and overflow behavior.

Once the post-release patch drops on Steam, I may use the massive free roam scenario I've set up on this route to record a multitude of 4-6 hour long operating sessions with this locomotive. Enjoy and stay tuned =)
