Cook Bitterleaf Soup with oats as thickener: [ Ссылка ]
The only thickeners I like for Bitterleaf Soup are:
- cocoyam
- achi
- ofo and
- oats (quaker brand)
All others: all purpose flour, yam, potatoes, corn flour or corn starch, are NO for me because they don’t give me the authentic taste and consistency.
Ingredients:
- 3 to 4 table spoons dry ground achi
- Igbo-style washed bitter leaves
- Palm oil
- Habanero pepper or cayenne pepper
- Beef
- offals
- dry fish
- stockfish
- crayfish
- seasoning cubes
- ogiri Igbo
- salt to taste
