DD added me to group called Anghai fort hike...It was a hike 'by invitation only'.
I felt privileged !
Parag dropped me early morning at Mhape where Sameer picked me up along with Saee and Prakhar.
Another group of Prashant,Dnyanes and Manoj...had started in wee hrs from Badlapur and we managed to meet at Kalamb.Post breakfast ,By 9 we approached base village Kalamb....and off we started towards Anghai. Equipment, food and water was distributed amongst us and thus started a long 3.5 hr walk towards the fort.
Climbing through the ravine..we reached the base of wall which to our surprise was bolted...Prashant took over lead Climbing. and top belayed us all to reach the top.Finally exploring the fort top..which was nothing...we rapelled down..hiked down ...Night caught us and it was fun to walk down the jungle in head torch searching the path!
Finally managed to find out our vehicles at the base by 8pm..
A lovely dinner at Dhaba...and home sweet home!
