The BTR-60 series of armored vehicles was designed by the Soviet Union after World War II to replace the BTR-152. It featured a ship-shaped body with three compartments, two engines for amphibious capabilities, and limited armor protection and firepower. Despite being produced in large numbers and used in various conflicts, the BTR-60 proved to be ineffective in combat and vulnerable to anti-tank weapons and guerrilla tactics.
