Schools and teachers have always been crucial in imparting knowledge and nurturing young individuals. However, as the world evolves, the expectations on what schools should teach have grown significantly. From subject-specific knowledge to environmental and financial literacy, and essential behavioral and collaborative skills – the question arises: Should schools cover all these topics? What unique expertise do schools offer, and which skills should be learned elsewhere?
Teachers often enjoy considerable autonomy in their classrooms, guiding students in various directions. But with this autonomy, what changes should remain off-limits?
