Constantine IV was a member of the Heraclian dynasty and famously saved his empire from total destruction at the hands of the Arabs, Slavs and Bulgars as well as rebels and religious controversy.
Considering his age, he proved to be one of the most capable of the Heraclian emperors with many successes and few failures.
