In today’s tutorial, I’m going to show you how to generate a battery report on your Windows 10 or 11 computer.
*To get started:*
1. Go into the Windows start bar, and type in “Command prompt”, and click on the command prompt application to open it up.
2. Now to generate the battery report, type in the following command “powercfg /batteryreport”, and hit the enter key on your keyboard.
3. A confirmation message will be displayed, confirming that the report has been generated, and the file path where the report is located will be displayed.
4. To access the report, you can highlight the file path with your mouse, and then click ctrl + C on your keyboard to copy it.
5. Now click on the Windows start bar and paste in the folder path, you can do this by holding down the ctrl and V keys on your keyboard, and then hit enter.
6. The battery report will now open up in your default browser.
7. From this report, you can see information around your installed batteries, recent usage, battery usage, usage history, capacity history, and battery life estimates.
