It's been 8 years since the release of XCX, a game too grand and visually impressive for the console it was released on. Thanks to today's technology we can finally admire and explore the beautiful landscapes of Mira in all its glory.
I played the game to completion on 4k120, and it was very stable. Crashes during long playing sessions were a rarity and the framerate was amazingly consistent. There is the occasional flicker and shadows are a bit quirky, but it didn't take away too much from the experience.
I used ReShade to apply a touch of ground vignette and vibrance without going too overboard. The game uses pretty bland colors compared to the other titles. I also added an AO pass for this video as it makes the grass look a lot nicer. Though i would advise against using it in-game since it overlaps with fog and ui.
