From the moment I held my first analog camera, I knew that I was about to embark on a new exciting, exciting journey 🎞️

As someone who has only ever shot with digital cameras, trying out a film camera for us for the first time since I was a little girl, was a revelation.

There’s something magical about waiting for the film to develop, not knowing exactly what the final result will be, and then being pleasantly surprised by the unique character and warmth that film brings to each shot. 📷

It’s a refreshing change from the instant gratification of digital photography and has allowed me to slow down be more present and really savor each moment.

Also, the moments in which you bring your camera out and say to people “hey, let’s take a picture”, is a space of incredible joy, transformation and vulnerability 🫶 more on that another time. it’s a humbling and spiritual experience, to say the least.

As I started to experiment and embrace the artistic process, I discovered a newfound appreciation for the beauty and imperfection of analog photography. Every shot is a unique expression of the moment, a blend of light, composition and emotion.

I’m reminded of the magic that happens when we surrender to the unknown and trust the creative process. ✍️
