Odisha Gets First Ever BJP CM | PM Modi & Naveen Patnaik Present In Mohan Majhi's Swearing In
Tribal leader Mohan Charan Majhi is all set to take the oath of office as the Chief Minister of Odisha on Wednesday, June 12. He will be the first chief minister of Odisha representing the BJP. Majhi, who is a four-time MLA, won the Keonjhar seat by over 11,000 votes. He won the Keonjhar seat in the 2019 elections as well. A seasoned RSS member, Majhi was a teacher in Saraswati Sishu Mandir in Keonjhar's Jhumpura area before entering politics. Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida will be Majhi's deputies in the new Odisha government.
