The 1927 Ziegfeld stage musical “Rio Rita” was brought to the big screen two years later as a vehicle for Wheeler & Woolsey with this title song performed by John Boles and Bebe Daniels. A different plotline was used in the 1942 Abbott & Costello “Rio Rita” and the tune was sung by John Carroll.
