College sports have become a multi-billion dollar industry, but the NCAA's regulations long prohibited amateur athletes from profiting off their abilities to go pro. However since July this year, NCAA announced an interim policy that allows student athletes from all three divisions to monetize their name, image and likeness, often referred to as NIL. This new lawsuit could completely up the NCAA athletes and the college athletic business model.
