(27 Apr 2019) Spain's left-wing candidate for prime minister, Pablo Iglesias, said on Saturday that the country's future was at stake, a day before the general election.
Speaking to reporters in Madrid, the United We Can party leader said it was now up to the voters to decide their future.
Accompanied by his wife and fellow parliamentarian Irene Montero, Iglesias visited a theatre in the Madrid district of Lavapies to watch a documentary on climate change.
The left-wing United We Can, also known as Podemos, risks falling from the third force in the national parliament to fourth or event fifth position, behind the upstart far-right Vox party.
Top candidates on both sides are urging Spaniards to choose wisely and keep the far-right at bay in Sunday's vote.
