Fetus Ultrasound, Cerebral Ventriculomegaly (Part 1)
Enlargement of the lateral cerebral ventricles, commonly referred to as ventriculomegaly , is a nonspecific marker of abnormal brain development.
The incidence of VM during pregnancy is 0.15% to 0.7% or 1 to 2 cases per 1,000 births. It is the most common CNS anomaly identified by prenatal sonography. Lateral ventricular enlargement represents the tip of the iceberg in fetal CNS imaging, as it is sensitive for the detection of a wide variety of fetal CNS abnormalities. In this video you can find : US Imaging Technique and Appearance of VM , Pitfalls & Mimics and Teaching cases related to cerebral ventriculomegaly in fetus ultrasound.
This series of videos is a scientific presentation about fetus ultrasound.
