A British diplomat has been hailed as a hero in China after jumping into a river to save a woman from drowning. He is Stephen Ellison, the newly appointed British Consul General in Chongqing and also a 61-year-old champion triathlete. Stephen Ellison jumped into the water without a second thought to save the drowning girl and was so pleased and delighted to find she was alive.
