Tips:
- This works with any metal.
- The positive wire is attached to the silver scrap and the negative wire to the earring, or whatever you want to plate with silver
- Clean your metal thoroughly before starting the Electroplating Process. Depending on the metal you want to silver plate, you can use from weak hydrogen peroxide to hydrochloric acid.
(Do not use nitric acid for any cheap jewelry, as most of it will contain copper.)
- Repeat this process at least 3 times. The more times you repeat this process (Electroplating the Silver - Cleaning the Jewelry), the thicker and more robust your silver plating will get.
