"Hold Up, wait a minute, Hold on"
This song started as a warmup combination for my students, then ended up in the company's opener set for Urban Paradise (with the help of my homies Gabe Dayrit and TJ Andaya), and then…..I couldn’t leave it alone so we made it come to life one last time with this video.
I stripped myself down from using very technical movement and ended up straight grooving out and dancing. The Bay Area and the Hyphy movement inspired a lot of what this combination has to offer. Especially with the things HBK is doing now and has been doing. They’ve revived the whole movement and its caused me to draw a lot of inspiration from what they’re putting out. They just make me realize that i’m proud of where I came from and as a result i’m doing this video as a homage to my roots.
Thank you to all my homies for joining me with all your positive vibes. This video aint nothing without your bay area swagger.
Also a big thank you to Nick Kim for coming up from SoCal to film and edit this video we’ve prepared. That aint a short drive bro. I appreciate your patience with me during this entire process!
