We rented an apartment in the heart of Hugh Town on St. Marys island for the duration of our Isles of Scilly holiday and really enjoyed being in the hustle and bustle of the Islands. Today we spend the morning exploring the area, taking in the Garrison Walls, Isles of Scilly, St Marys Porthcressa Beach, St Marys Quay, the Scilly Farmers and Growers Market where we were able to pick up some Scillonian Tattie Cake, Veronica Farm Fudge and fresh crab meat. We also skirt around Porthcressa Beach (a firm favourite of mine, especially in the evenings when it comes alive), wander along Hugh Street and get some time to try the food bought at the market.
