Here's my approach to stacking overdrive pedals. Although this starts with a blues this approach works for all kinds of music. By using a transparent overdrive and a more mid-heavy drive like a tube screamer or a Klon style overdrive I'm able to get a variety of stacked overdrive tones that sound realistic and cohesive. This is my approach but doesn't mean their aren't other ways to do it! There are 1000's of overdrive and boost pedals so experimentation is key!
