In this video we go on a short riverside walk down the river Mersey in Stockport just to the south of Manchester. We spot all sorts of caves in the sandstone and tunnels in the riverbank. Remnants of old industry these are fascinating. Possible waterway outlets and tailraces from mills or waterwheels. Industrial weirs and bridges. We also take a quick look at the Stockport Viaduct and its 11 million bricks. This Victorian Industrial landscape requires more investigation.
